MOKOMA Set Title For New Album

November 21, 2005

Finnish thrash metal band MOKOMA — who hold the disctinction of being probably the only thrash group to sing entirely in Finnish — have set "Kuoleman Laulukunnaat" as title for their fifth album, tentatively due on February 8, 2006. The follow-up to 2004's "Tämän Maailman Ruhtinaan Hovi" was recorded at Music Bros. Studio in Imatra and Petrax Studio in Hollola.

Released in May 2004, "Tämän Maailman Ruhtinaan Hovi" reportedly sold nearly 10,000 copies in the group's native Finland, where MOKOMA reached No. 2 on the national album chart. The band also played virtually every major Finnish festival and established themselves as one of the most acclaimed live acts around. A self-titled DVD was also issued in late 2004 and immediately rocketed to the top of the Finnish music DVD chart, going on to sell more than 5,000 copies (a fugure on par with those achieved by such multi-platinum acts as H.I.M. and THE RASMUS).
